Dtec-it.com will not be Liable for any loss of Data / Files or any Personal Configuration / Settings of Hardware / Software / Third Party Software while working on Customers PC's or Laptops/Macs. (On some occasions a Full Reset may be needed to restore a computer to its default factory settings, this means that all installed programs will be deleted). If possible , we will try to recover your data before a full reset is performed.
It is the Customers responsibility to ensure that any important Data / Files are backed up before any work is carried out by a Dtec-it.com Technician.
Equally, DTEC-IT.COM are not liable for any PC / Laptop / Mac that cannot boot (switch on), and thus cannot be verified as fully working hardware at the point of pick-up from customers premises. (The Technician will confirm this at the point of pick up).
Typically: Screens, Touch pad, Keyboard, lights / Indicators, Hard Drive, Optical Disk.
Data Recovery:
Due to the condition of any HDD (Hard Disk Drive) SSD (Solid State Drive), any data recovery attempt successful or not, a Recovery Attempt Fee will still apply.
Please note: Once the device has been returned to the customer in good working order, any Third Party Software that the customer installs which makes the device malfunction is not the responsibility of DTEC-IT.com.
